Position: Welding Engineer – Mozambique

Job Location - Mozambique

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent discipline (University Diploma Mandatory)
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in welding engineering within Oil & Gas, LNG, EPC, and industrial construction projects

Previous Mozambique LNG project experience is required Previous Mozambique LNG project experience is preferred.

• Previous Offshore Oil & Gas project experience is required

Job Description:

• Managed welding engineering activities for LNG, offshore, and oil & gas construction projects.
• Prepared, reviewed, and implemented Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WPQ).  Monitored welding activities in accordance with QA/QC-approved WPSs and prepared Welder Qualification Records (WPQ).
• Supervised welding activities to ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, API, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinated with QA/QC teams regarding welding inspections, NDT requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitored welding productivity, repair rates, and quality performance indicators.
• Provided technical guidance for fabrication and field welding activities involving carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, and alloy materials.
• Investigated welding defects and implemented corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinated material control, consumable management, and welding documentation.
• Supported hydrotest, pre-commissioning, and mechanical completion activities.
• Ensured strict compliance with project HSE requirements and client quality standards.
• Demonstrated extensive experience in LNG facilities, offshore platforms, modules, process piping, pressure vessels, and structural welding activities.
