Senior Manager - Production And Planning

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager – Production & Planning to manage and oversee production operations and planning activities at our manufacturing facility in Raipur.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Automobile, Heavy Machinery, Turbine, Gear Box, Steel, or similar engineering/manufacturing industries and should be capable of managing production targets, manpower, resources, and delivery schedules effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
• Ensure achievement of production targets as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Manage complete shop-floor production operations and workflow.
• Plan and optimize manpower, machines, materials, and other production resources.
• Monitor production output, productivity, rejection, rework, and downtime.
• Identify production bottlenecks and take timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Dispatch, and other departments for smooth production flow.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Prepare production MIS, performance reports, and management updates.
• Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce production costs.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company production standards.
• Lead, motivate, and manage production teams and supervisors.
• Participate in capacity planning and long-term production planning.
• Handle customer priorities and ensure committed delivery timelines are achieved.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Production & Planning / Manufacturing Operations.
• Experience in Automobile, Heavy Machinery, Turbine, Gear Box, Steel, or Engineering industries preferred.
• Graduate in any discipline; technical/engineering qualification will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of production planning, shop-floor management, manpower planning, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in handling production teams and achieving production targets.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under production pressure and meet strict delivery schedules.
• Candidates with stable experience in manufacturing organizations will be preferred.
