Job Description

Key Responsibilities:  Develop and maintain firmware for welding and plasma cutting machines.  Work on microcontrollers (STM32, DSP, PIC, ARM Cortex, etc.).  Implement control algorithms for voltage, current, PWM, soft start, and feedback loops.  Develop device drivers for displays (LCD/LED/TFT), sensors, and communication modules.  Support PCB bring-up, debugging, and parameter tuning.  Work with the test team to evaluate arc characteristics.  Perform current/voltage waveform analysis for weld quality.  Support field trials, reliability testing, and certification.  Participate in concept design, prototyping, and pre-production runs.  Prepare engineering change notes (ECN) and release firmware versions.  Prepare firmware architecture documents, test reports, and release notes.  Follow ISO, safety standards (IEC 60974 preferred), and internal SOPs.
