Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NACE (AMPP) Cathodic Protection Level 4 Inspector to join our LNG/Oil & Gas project in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, inspecting, testing, and verifying all cathodic protection activities related to buried pipelines, aboveground facilities, storage tanks, marine structures, and associated infrastructure. The role requires extensive knowledge of corrosion control, cathodic protection systems, international standards, and field inspection practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of cathodic protection systems during construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
• Verify compliance with project specifications, AMPP/NACE standards, client requirements, and international codes.
• Perform and review cathodic protection surveys, including Close Interval Surveys (CIS), DCVG, ACVG, and current requirement testing.
• Inspect installation of sacrificial anode and impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems.
• Review and validate test results, monitoring reports, and commissioning documentation.
• Monitor contractor activities related to corrosion protection and cathodic protection systems.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to ensure asset integrity.
• Witness functional testing and commissioning of cathodic protection equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and integrity management teams.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, punch lists, and technical recommendations.
• Participate in site audits and client inspections.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• AMPP/NACE Cathodic Protection Level 4 Certification (Mandatory).
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10-15 years of total experience in corrosion control and cathodic protection.
• At least 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Pipeline, or Industrial Construction Projects.
• Strong knowledge of international standards including NACE/AMPP, ISO, DNV, and relevant industry practices.
• Experience with buried pipelines, tank farms, marine facilities, and process plants.
• Proficiency in cathodic protection testing instruments and monitoring systems.
• Experience in commissioning and start-up activities is highly preferred.
• Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience on large-scale LNG projects.
• Experience working in remote international project sites.
• Familiarity with pipeline integrity management programs.
• Experience with EPC contractors and multinational project environments.
