Hiring for Gold Accountant for Qatar Location

Salary QAR 2000 (Negotiable)

Roles and Responsibilities

Gold Inventory & Accounting

• Maintain accurate records of gold inventory (raw gold, finished goods, scrap, etc.)
• Track daily gold transactions including purchases, sales, transfers, and adjustments
• Reconcile physical gold stock with system records on a regular basis

Gold Valuation & Costing

• Monitor and update gold rates daily in the system
• Calculate cost of gold items based on weight, purity, and market rates
• Ensure proper valuation of inventory in financial statements

Reconciliation & Reporting

• Perform periodic reconciliation of gold stock against accounting records
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in weight, purity, or valuation
• Prepare detailed reports on gold movement, variances, and stock positions

Financial Controls & Compliance

• Ensure all gold-related transactions comply with internal controls and company policies
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Maintain proper documentation for all gold transactions

Coordination

• Coordinate with retail, warehouse, and production teams regarding gold movements
• Work closely with procurement for gold purchases and pricing updates

Job Specifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar capacity within the jewellery or retail business
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Proven experience in gold valuation, inventory and control
• Strong understanding of financial principles, cash management, and risk analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
