Job Description

A Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end collision repair operations, including denting, painting, and accident repairs, while ensuring high-quality standards and meeting dealership Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct day-to-day work of technicians and painters to ensure deadlines are met and productivity is maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all repairs meet OEM standards and manufacturer specifications. Implement and enforce safety protocols and housekeeping (5S).
- Handle customer inquiries and escalations to ensure high satisfaction. Coordinate directly with insurance companies and surveyors for timely claim approvals and settlements. - Prepare damage estimates, manage budgets, and monitor revenue and margin targets. Control the usage of paint and consumables to minimize wastage.
- Recruit, train, and conduct performance reviews for the body shop team, including technicians and advisors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
A Diploma or B.Tech in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering is typically required for senior positions.
Some roles may accept a General Graduate degree with relevant technical background.

Experience:
Generally, requires 10+ years of experience in automotive body shop operations, specifically within a dealership environment.

Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of collision repair, denting, painting processes, and familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS).

Leadership Skills:
Strong ability to manage a diverse team, handle complex customer negotiations, and meet strict operational deadlines.
