Job Location: Guwahati, Assam

Job Summary

The General Manager – Sales will be responsible for leading and driving the overall sales performance of the Passenger Vehicle (PV) division of the dealership. The role involves achieving retail and wholesale sales targets, maximizing market share, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing dealership profitability, and overseeing all sales-related operations in line with OEM guidelines and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Performance

  • Lead the Passenger Vehicle sales function and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
  • Drive retail, exchange, finance, insurance, and accessory sales performance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure effective lead management and conversion through all sales channels.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations of the PV division.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards, dealership policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Marketing, Service, and CRM teams to maximize business opportunities.

Financial & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Manage departmental profitability and cost controls.
  • Prepare sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for management review.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve dealership growth and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment of team objectives with organizational goals.




Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Graduate in any discipline with strong written and verbal communication skills and mandatory fluency in English and Hindi.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as GM Sales of PV Segment for any dealership which has more than an average of 100+ retail in a month. Required Skills & Competencies
  • Business acumen with a focus on profitability and growth with Customer-centric approach.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
