Job Title:

Design Engineer – Sheet Metal

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with experience in sheet metal industries. The candidate should have strong knowledge of sheet metal components, tool & die designing, and proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role also requires good command over MS Excel for data management, BOM preparation, and production coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and process sheets.
• Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for production requirements.
• Analyze product feasibility and optimize designs for manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Maintain engineering documents and revision records.
• Prepare reports, production planning sheets, and MIS using Microsoft Excel.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities in production processes.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Experience in Tool & Die Designing.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience in Sheet Metal Industry (From Racking Company) preferred.

Preferred Knowledge:

• CNC laser cutting, bending, welding, and fabrication processes.
