We are a leading coffee manufacturer in Jordan specializing in premium Arabic and Turkish coffee. Our company operates a complete production facility including coffee roasting, grinding, blending, packaging, and quality control. Our signature products are distinguished by carefully selected coffee beans blended with green  cardamom  to deliver a consistent and authentic Middle Eastern flavor. We are seeking an experienced Coffee  Roast Master  & Q Grader  to lead our roasting, sensory evaluation, product development, and quality assurance operations.

Position Summary

The Coffee Roast Master & Q Grader will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company's signature coffee profile. This role combines expertise in roasting, sensory evaluation, green coffee sourcing, product development, and manufacturing quality systems.The successful candidate will work closely with production, procurement, and management to ensure every batch meets the company's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Roasting & Product Development

•   Develop, document, and maintain roast profiles for all coffee products.

•     Ensure consistency of roast color, aroma, body, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste.

•     Optimize roasting parameters according to bean origin and seasonal variations.

•     Create new coffee blends while preserving the company's signature flavor.

•     Conduct roasting trials for new products.

Green  Coffee Selection

•     Evaluate and select Arabica and Robusta coffees.

•     Approve incoming green coffee based on sensory and physical quality.

•     Work with suppliers to maintain consistent raw material quality.

•     Recommend purchasing specifications.

Sensory Evaluation  (Q Grader  Responsibilities)

•     Lead daily cupping sessions.

•     Evaluate every production  batch.

•     Develop sensory scorecards.

•     Maintain flavor reference standards.

•     Investigate customer complaints related to flavor.

•     Train internal sensory panel members.

 

Arabic & Turkish Coffee  Expertise

The successful candidate should have experience with:

•     Turkish coffee roasting

•     Ultra-fine grinding

•     Arabic coffee characteristics

•     Coffee blending

•     Cardamom integration

•     Shelf-life stability

•     Aroma preservation

•     Traditional Middle Eastern coffee preparation methods

 

Manufacturing & Quality Control

•     Supervise roasting operations.

•     Monitor grinding consistency.

•     Ensure blend uniformity.

•     Verify packaging quality.

•     Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

•     Implement HACCP and food safety standards.

•     Minimize production  losses.

Leadership

•     Train roasting operators.

•      Coach quality  control  staff.

•     Work  closely with  production    planning.

•     Support   continuous   improvement    initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

•     Licensed QArabica Grader  (preferred)

•     5-10+ years of coffee roasting experience

•     Experience in commercial coffee manufacturing

•     Strong sensory evaluation skills

•     Knowledge of green coffee grading

•     Experience with industrial roasting equipment

•     Knowledge of coffee grinding technology

•     Excellent documentation  and reporting skills

•     English proficiency
