Position: Assistant Manager – Stores (Storekeeper)

Experience: 8–10 Years

Qualification: BE / B.Tech / Diploma  – Civil or Mechanical Engineering

Key Role Responsibilities

•              Manage the complete stores & inventory function for the plant, covering engineering, maintenance, production, and FMCG materials.

•              Handle receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and stock control of materials such as welding rods, steel sheets, mechanical spares, tools, consumables, etc.

•              Manage imported materials, including documentation, receipt, storage, and coordination with Procurement/Logistics.

•              Maintain accurate ERP/system stock records, GRNs, material issue notes, stock registers, and inventory reports.

•              Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO, binning, tagging, preservation, and safe storage of materials.

•              Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder requirements, slow/non-moving and obsolete inventory.

•              Conduct physical stock verification and reconciliation and resolve stock discrepancies.

•              Coordinate closely with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Finance, and Logistics to ensure timely material availability.

•              Supervise storekeepers/helpers and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, housekeeping, and audit requirements.

•              Minimize stock losses, pilferage, damages, excess inventory, and material wastage.
