Hiring for Accountant position

Position: Accountant
Location: Morogoro, Tanzania, Africa
Contract Duration: 2.5 Years

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: USD 1,500 per month
• Local Allowance: TZS 200,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local statutory requirements.
• Handle inventory accounting and cost accounting where applicable.
• Process payroll and monitor operational expenses.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist during internal and external audits.
• Prepare MIS reports and provide financial analysis to management.
• Monitor taxation, VAT, and statutory compliance.
• Support management in financial planning and decision-making.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: B.Com or M.Com
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of core accounting experience.
• Experience must be in Private Limited Companies only.
• Candidates from Manufacturing, Trading, Logistics, or Energy industries are preferred.
• Prior work experience in Africa will be an added advantage.
• Age: 30–40 years

Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting.
• Hands-on experience in general ledger, reconciliations, budgeting, taxation, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
