Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and clinically driven Clinical Specialist to support our medical device portfolio in South Africa. The role involves providing clinical expertise, supporting product usage in operating rooms, training healthcare professionals, and ensuring optimal product adoption. The candidate will work closely with surgeons, hospitals, and internal sales teams to enhance clinical outcomes and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical support during surgeries, including product demonstration and troubleshooting in operating rooms. ➢ Deliver product training and in-service education to surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff.

Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, and healthcare professionals. ➢ Collaborate with the sales team to drive product adoption and achieve business objectives.

Assist in clinical evaluations, trials, and new product launches.

Ensure compliance with local regulatory and hospital protocols.

Gather market feedback, competitor insights, and clinical data to support business strategy.

Maintain accurate records of clinical activities, case coverage, and training sessions.

Travel across assigned regions within South Africa for case support and customer engagement.

Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Life Sciences, Nursing, or related field.

3 to 7 years of experience in clinical support within the medical device industry.

Hands on experience in surgical environments preferably in wound closure, endo surgery, or orthopedics.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Fluency proficiency in English.

Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic healthcare environment. 

Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa.
